Terms of Use

Effective 20 August 2026 · United Kingdom

These terms are the agreement between you and us for the Vyenne app. By creating an account or using Vyenne, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. They're written in plain words - if anything is unclear, ask us.

01Who runs Vyenne

Vyenne is operated by VOX NOVA LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17406116), whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ ("we", "us").

Vyenne is our trading name for the service. Contact details are at the end of these terms.

02This is an early release

Vyenne is a public beta. It's a real, live service - you can subscribe, and your account and library are here to stay - but it's early, and improving quickly. That means:

Feedback is welcome - there's a "Give feedback" option in your profile, or you can email us directly.

03Who can use Vyenne

Vyenne is for adults only. You must be 18 or over to create an account or use any part of the app. You gave us your date of birth at sign-up and confirmed you're an adult; we rely on that being true. If we believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we'll close it.

Vyenne is offered in the United Kingdom only for now - it's built as a UK service, for UK users.

04Your account

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, and unlock the app with Face ID or Touch ID on your device. There's no password. That means:

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. Deletion is permanent and removes your stories and settings from your account - the Privacy Policy explains exactly what happens to your data.

05What Vyenne makes

Vyenne creates personalised adult-romance stories from the choices you make. It can also create a cover and narrate the story aloud.

Story text, narration and cover art are generated by AI providers working to our instructions. Every story is fiction. Its characters are invented and do not depict real people, even when a name or detail resembles one. AI output can be repetitive, inaccurate or not to your taste, and we do not promise a particular result. Stories are for entertainment, not advice.

To create your story, the choices you make are sent to those providers. Our Privacy Policy explains what data is sent and how it is handled.

06Acceptable use

Use Vyenne lawfully and decently. You must not:

Every request and every finished story is checked automatically against a fixed set of boundaries that never move, for anyone - our Code of conduct sets them out in full, and it forms part of these terms.

Content involving minors is not a boundary you can brush against - it's prohibited outright. Any attempt ends the account immediately and is reported to the authorities. No exceptions, no second chance.

07Your stories

The stories you create are yours to enjoy for personal, private and non-commercial use. We grant you a personal licence to read and listen to them within the app.

We keep all rights to the Vyenne app, brand, design, and the technology behind it.

08Fair use

Story creation is unlimited for personal reading. We may temporarily decline new requests where activity appears automated, is made in bulk for resale or redistribution, or runs at a rate no reader could reasonably follow.

At very high volumes, new cover art may depict the story's setting rather than its cast. New narration is subject to a rolling monthly allowance. Replaying narration already created for you does not use that allowance.

Fair-use limits do not close an account simply because someone reads or creates a lot. Automation, resale, redistribution, account transfer, or attempts to evade the limits may lead to suspension or closure.

Current thresholds and renewal details are available inside Vyenne under Account → Legal documents → Fair use policy.

09Subscriptions & billing.

Some Vyenne features require a Premium subscription. Your first narrated listen is free; after that, listening requires Premium.

Premium is available monthly or annually through Apple's in-app purchase. It may begin with a free trial. Apple shows the trial length, renewal price, billing date and included features before you subscribe. Cancel before the trial converts to a paid subscription and you will not be charged.

Apple handles the payment under its standard terms. Premium renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your Apple account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep Premium until the current billing period ends.

Refund requests are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. Vyenne cannot issue Apple refunds directly.

Premium becomes available as soon as your subscription starts. Under Apple's terms, a 14-day cancellation right may apply to the initial purchase. That right can be lost once digital content starts, where you requested immediate delivery and acknowledged that the cancellation right would be lost.

Your UK consumer rights still apply. Premium must be as described and of satisfactory quality. If something Vyenne is responsible for is faulty, you are entitled to the remedies provided by law.

10Ending your access

You can stop using Vyenne and delete your account at any time from inside the app. Deletion is permanent.

Deleting your account does not cancel Premium. You must cancel it separately in your Apple account settings to stop the next renewal.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or the Code of conduct, or if the law requires it. Where it is fair to do so, we will warn you first. Serious breaches, including anything involving a minor, may lead to immediate closure.

If we close your account and you lose paid Premium access, we will help you request any refund due through Apple. Refunds remain subject to Apple's process, applicable law, and whether the closure followed a serious breach.

11What we're responsible for

Vyenne is an early, evolving service. We run it with reasonable care and back up your account and library, but no service is flawless and occasionally something may go wrong.

Except where the law does not allow it, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose.

Nothing here takes away rights UK consumer law gives you. Nothing excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Vyenne changes. If a change materially affects your rights or paid access, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.

Using Vyenne after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app, cancel Premium and delete your account.

13Law & disputes

If something has gone wrong, email founder@vyenne.com first and a person will try to put it right.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also use your local courts.
